Knee swelling
My problem started in October of '98 when I was on vacation. My right knee started to give way or became wobbly(my allergies(rhinitis) shot up too). I almost fell. Summer of that year I put too much strain on my knee by trying to lose weight. Plus we moved in springtime, too. So I might have pushed it way too hard. By Feb. '98, the swelling of my right knee started. Swelling would come and would go. I've been taking ibuprofen whenever it swells. May 99 the swelling worsened. I Had an MRI done -diagnosis chlondromalacia patella- stage 1. By Dec.99, swelling worsened plus I twisted it so badly that it was hard for me to walk. MRI showed stage 3 chlondromalacia patella. I had surgery Mar 2000 and the surgeon said it was very swollen and inflamed inside but nothing is acually wrong. I'm still in pain even after the surgery (with PT). More of the joint pain than the surgery. Now the other knee is beginning to show signs of swelling, too. My rheumatologist is puzzled too. But he is inclined towards RA only because the left knee is showing signs. Blood works are all negative of lyme, RA and other else.
