Long Recovery

Hi, one year ago My right knee swelled, I went to the Dr. He said it's nothing just take advill and go buy a sports wrap and you're be fine. Well I work retail, and ride horses, and the more I stood on it the more it swelled up, then walking up and down stairs the knee started to make clicking sounds, then scraping sounds. Went back to the Dr. He again said you over worked your knee. I said doing what? nothing else was said, other than put a sports wrap on it. Then in June went to another Dr. My right knee was huge and I was now in server pain. My opinion is the Doctors are stupid. Because here again, I'm told nothing is wrong. Now I lost my job, No insurance and in pain. Had to wait for 3 months got new insurance, finally went to an orthropedic surgern, straight away he took Xrays sent me in for an MRI scheduled me for surgery. That I tore the meniscus cartalige, and had to have Arthroscopy surgery the cartalige was serverly damaged and found arthrist. Now the Doctor said I could start my new job in about a week. didn't happen, But I did call the new job he said come in another 2 weeks. ( the week before surgery I got a new job) The Doctor was able to trim away the arthrist and clean up the damage cartalige, and sent me home the same day from the hospital. Since I was all druged up I felt no pain. Next day when everything wore off I was in server pain, more than I ever have been in my life. pain killers didn't work. Two more days my mom stayed home with me I could barely move.My knee started to burn over the weekend so mom took me to the E/R found out I got a large blood blister, they said don't pop it let it heal on it's own. Finally able to walk on crutches. One week after surgery I went back to the Dr. He said You don't need crutches and schedule me for Physical Therapy for 6 weeks. Went to P/T they said I was to stay on crutches till they say to go off. since I could not stand without them or walk. So Doctors don't really know their patients. Went back to the Doctor 1 month later he also got a report from the P/T to tell me to continue with P/T. I finally went off the crutches last week, it's now 7 weeks since surgery. And have been told by my P/T that I will be therapy for quite a while due to server muscle loss. I'm 38 years old and never in my life have I ever had any type of surgery. My knee is still very much swollen, the P/T says some people just heal slower than others. I'm still in some pain, but no where near what I've been in, still very stiff untill I excercise every am and pm. By the way I went to my so call new job, and the DM said you're handicapp you can't work here on crutches in a department store, I said I will be off them soon. He said no. So now I don't have a job. My P/T says I should try and find another line of work. That dos'nt require a lot of standing, so now I'm looking again. The Doctor said to me I will later in life need a full joint replacement done. Has any one out there had the same problems with their knee Like I've had.
