High Tibular Osteotomy On may 4th, I had a osteotomy performed on my left knee. The reason I had this done, is after years of my knee swelling and all the pain I suffered I couldn't take it any more. After undergoing an artoscopic surgery it was determined by my physcian that I had osteo artiritis and my knee bones were hitting together and causing all the pain and swelling. My surgery went well and last week I was able to walk with just a cane and not too much pain. But wednesday I was on my carport and just took a step and hyperextended my knee.Well that was the end of my walking. It started swelling and I could not put any pressure on my leg at all. My Dr is out of town for two more weeks and that leaves me in a fix. I got my knee emobilizer back on and I'm with crutches again. Has anyone ever went though this.
