In the hip I've done ballet for 10 years, and the last year and a half I've had a lot of pain in my hips. I first thought it was out of joint. X-rays showed I was fine. I was a counsoler at out door camp where I overkilled it on some long steep hikes. I went to the doc's again, this time she knew from sure that it was my IT band that was way too tight. I'm going to a physical theripest 3x's a week. If I do good I can continue out the year in dance (we preform on a cruise in June, then I'm bowing out). I've never heard of it in the hips only though...only in the knees. ?Hmm... I have all the other symotoms. It got me at a young age, I'm only 16! So far, I've only heard stories about 18-20 plus.
