ACL recovery
I had ACL surgery on March 31, 2004. I injuried it from playing basketball in Feb 04. The first week was tough, trying ot not bare weight stay off of my leg, to keep swelling down. I started rehab. I was very devoted to doing my exercises. I had trouble with bending my knee to same level as my other knee. Then I fell on a wet floor at work, I sure bent it back then. I was on crutches for about a week, d/t sweelling, and bone bruised...Well started rehab again..
I could bend it and everything going well. Well this winter, I fell on the ice. I was a little slow getting up in fear that it was injuried again.
Its been a year now and still trying to stregthen my right knee. I still have difficult time going up and down stairs. I haven't really tried to jog or run, I think I am a little timid of hurting it again. I go to the gym at least 2-3 times per week.
So I need help on what exercies I should be doing to help stregthen my knee or does it usually take this long?
