Microfracture and recovery I have had three knee surgeries in the last 3 years on the same knee. The first 2 were to repair a lateral miniscus tear and the third was about a year ago for a microfracture procedure. I was on crutches for 4 weeks and did rehab. for about 6 months. I am a professional soccer player and that is what caused all of my injuries. I can honestly say that it took me about a year of recovery to get to the point to be able to play soccer at a serious level again. Although, I can tell that my knee will never be the same , it is great to be able to play a high level once again. I highly recommend taking Glucosamine for any of you who have had a microfracture procedure done.
