rehab after microfracture I had the microfracture procedure in November 2003 and have had NO rehab on the knee at all. My ortho is the old fashioned arrogant kind and resents any sort of questions or input from me or my other health care provider. Basically I've been told on the one hand to use it that I have to develop the muscles again, and on the other hand told that I'm on my own and he will NOT write any orders for physical therapy or strength training.My knee still hurts and buckels when I try to walk (which is slow and painful at best). I live alone and raise horses so there are many chores to be done and I could sure use some help in getting my strength back. Any ideas from anyone on what I might do to help my knee recover would be most welcome.
