Menicus Surgery 1-01-05 12-31-2004, I was going surf early new years eve morning about 5am. I hoped over a hand rail landed and my left knee locked up and I could not walk. My friend went and got my 5speed car and I drove home(it was an experience). My mom Took me to the ER when I got home, by then my knee was locked at a 45 degree angle(it hurt), Then doctor rushed me to get a MRI. I had a Torn menicus and had to have surgery ASAP, on New Years morning I had surgery it lasted 2 hours, and it seemed like i just blinked my eyes and it was over. I hurt real bad the frist 3 days and still hurts 20 days later. I started therepy last week, and they say I'll make a full recovery. It hurts but it is important to keep your knee moving just don't put any weight on it. If you have any questions feel free to ask I'll be sitten around for awhile.
