what could it be` I am 41 and have played football and wrestled in my younger days that caused stress and painful knees. I was active until the last year, and have done more than play atch and walk. I suddenly started suffering severe knee pain. I cant bend it without blinding pain. I can walk as long as i dont bend it. I can not support myself at all if the knee has a slight bend, it is too painful. Even keeping my leg raised and without weight I am in much pain. There is no redness, nor is it really swollen. Just painful beyond any injury I ever had. Other than seeing someone (planned already) what could it be?
